DRESS: Lulus (wearing xs) | BOOTS: Goodnight Macaroon | EARRINGS: Lulus | BAG: Prada (unfortunately they no longer have it in the grey color but they do have black and camel here)
Let me start off by saying that I’ve never been so busy in all aspects of my life before! There is so much going on right now (thankfully all good things) that I just haven’t had the time to sit down and write another blog post! I mean, yes, there’s 24 hours in a day but I’m only human! From our engagement party to the many changes at work it’s all been very overwhelming.
Planning Jonathan’s and my engagement party gave me a bit of a taste for what’s ahead! I’ll probably do a whole separate post on our party since it was one of the most magical days of my life so far and I definitely want to share pictures and more of the details. That alone had me pretty busy for the past few weeks as I was communicating back and forth with the events coordinator at the restaurant where it was held, putting together the decorations, etc. It all turned out better than I could have ever expected so I’m definitely super excited about planning for our wedding! Speaking of which, Jon and I have been looking online at different venues in our area but haven’t actually had the chance to visit any of them yet. Things haven’t really slowed down since he proposed; on top of all the craziness with the holidays we’ve had other family parties and commitments every weekend since. Once the holidays are over and our calendars start to free up a bit we will definitely be dedicating more of our time to planning for our big day!
Work is another story; there has been so much change within the last couple of months (again, all good things!). I am still so ecstatic about my promotion, but of course with a promotion comes more responsibility and thus more work. To add to that, we also hired two new team members so I’ve been doing a lot of training to get them up to speed. Needless to say, I’ve been extremely busy lately and working later than usual. I’m not complaining because I really enjoy my job and everything I’ve been doing has been further advancing my career which is so important to me, but it’s also the reason why I haven’t had much time to dedicate to my blog. I started this blog to inspire other people and share details of my life for my family and friends and others who become interested, so I am upset that it’s been a little while since my last post. Life just gets a little crazy sometimes but when it’s all going in the right direction there’s absolutely nothing to complain about! I’m incredibly grateful, especially for everyone who’s still reading this post. One of my New Years resolutions will be to improve on finding a balance between life, work, and my blog.
So enough about my life, let’s talk about this amazing dress that’s perfect for the holidays! I absolutely adore this wrap dress from Lulus. It’s super comfy and lightweight so you can easily layer this with a blazer and tights to wear to the office. These OTK boots are definitely my all-time favorite purchase this season. They stay up above the knees and the color matches with almost anything! They’re also pretty affordable and one of the best dupes I’ve seen of the Stuart Weitzman boots. And can we talk about this bag?! This was a gift to myself for my promotion and I could not be happier about it! It was absolutely worth the investment, I think Prada bags are timeless and have one of the best qualities out there. I also have a slight obsession with grey so this bag stole my heart (or my bank account haha) the moment I laid my eyes on it!
I hope you all enjoyed this post and catching up with me. Stay tuned for more to come (possibly a post all about our engagement party!).
XO,
Sandy
