Conquering fall style is easy with a few staple sweaters, chunky scarves, and a variety of boots. This look has all of that; a sweater than can be layered and styled with multiple different pieces of clothing, a cozy scarf that adds a bit of color (pink is very much in this fall!) and can also be styled multiple ways, and a low heeled bootie that is not only super cute (this color will match with anything and everything!), but also very comfortable. I love this look because it’s casual and simple and you can recreate it with different combinations, like switching out these ripped jeans for a suede mini skirt, or adding a plaid button up shirt underneath this sweater for an extra dimension. This is by far one of my favorite things about fall fashion; LAYERING! You can get so much more wear out of one item of clothing by layering it with other pieces and switching up the styles (i.e. from a casual to a more dressed up look, etc.). As long as you have a few different washes of jeans and a great pair of leggings (the Spanx faux leather leggings are my absolute favorite to wear with a nice sweater and a pair of heels or over the knee boots), styling them with chunky knit sweaters and cardigans is the fun part.
It’s getting cold fast here in New York (in the low 50s), but I’m excited to shoot more fall content and get all of my sweaters/jackets back in my closet. I still have to put away all of my summer clothes, I just haven’t given myself the time to do it yet! I think it’ll take me an entire day to switch out my closet from summer to fall because I’m going to try to sell a lot of my clothes and shoes on Poshmark this year! I’ve never tried it before but I’ve only heard great things about how easy it is. I’m looking for a fresh start this season, especially for the upcoming winter. I could honestly get rid of at least half of my clothes! Not that I don’t like them – I’ve just had some things for years and I’m ready to switch it up! Also, I used to work in a more business casual environment, but now I work at a media company and people walk around in jeans all day everyday. So I’ll likely be getting rid of some of my more formal attire. Be on the lookout for my Poshmark account to go live! I’ll announce it on Instagram and put a link here on the blog once I start posting some items! If you ever have any questions about sizing or anything else please feel free to message me!
