So this past weekend was absolutely beautiful out! I could not get over the weather. I wish I realized how nice it was going to be so that I could’ve planned to make one last trip to the beach. Instead Jon and I had a casual weekend of cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping… you know, those really fun things adults do every once in a while 🙂 haha! But honestly, I love weekends with no plans so that I can just relax and get things done around our apartment. There’s always so much going on in life with family and friends that it’s nice to just lay low every once in a while.
Apart from everything we did inside our apartment this past weekend we of course made sure to spend some time outside. We took a stroll into town, got some coffee, walked through the Apple store (Jon’s favorite), and kind of just moseyed around!
As much as I’d love to have a few more weeks of summer, I’ve been dying to get into cardigans and booties again! Which you can totally do now even though the weather doesn’t seem to be cooling down, you just have to be careful with the thickness of fabrics and dark colors if you’re going to be out during the day in direct sunlight. When picking out my outfit this past weekend I made sure to keep it bright since I didn’t want to be wearing black or other dark colors with the sun beating down on me! So I decided to go with white on white (like I’ve said before, I wear white whenever I feel like it – there’s no Labor Day rule in my fashion book!). Since I was desperate to get a little bit of the fall fashion going, I paired the look with a super light beige cardigan. One of my favorite things about fall fashion is being able to layer clothes – cardigans like the one I’m wearing in today’s post is a perfect item for layering because it’s so light and the color will match with almost anything.
Thank you for visiting the blog today! Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday. 🙂
XO, Sandy
