It’s that time of the year….spring is here and so is Sephora’s big sale event! Today starts the sale for Rouge members who get 20% off until May 1st. VIB members get 15% off from April 21 through April 29, and Insider members get 10% off from April 23 through April 27. This is the best time to stock up on all of your beauty favorites, or to purchase something that you’ve had your eye on for a while! We certainly don’t “need” any of these products, but let’s be honest, you’re going to eventually buy some of them at some point anyway, so you might as well get them now at a discount! I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites below, and even share exactly what I bought this year.
Skincare, Haircare, & Body
The True Cream Aqua Bomb – belif – I used this moisturizer over the summer last year and it worked wonders! It gave my skin the hydration it needed without being heavy or thick on the skin. It’s nice to go for a lightweight cream option like this one during the hotter months, especially for my skin (I have combination skin, it’s oily in the t-zone area).
Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm – Farmacy – If there’s one skincare product you buy during this sale, let it be this one! I love that it’s made by a clean brand, and this balm truly melts makeup away so effortlessly. My favorite thing about it is how it doesn’t dry out your face like a lot of makeup removers do; instead it leaves your skin still feeling hydrated and smooth.
Banana Bright Eye Crème – OLEHENRIKSEN – I bought this randomly on a Sephora trip one day and am so glad that I did. It’s a Vitamin C-rich eye cream that contains banana powder which will improve concealer application and wear.
Chloé Eau de Parfum – A timeless floral fragrance. This has been my favorite perfume since the first day I discovered it years ago! Such a classic scent and one that will guarantee compliments.
Tan Luxe THE FACE Illuminating Self-Tan Drops – I absolutely love these tanning drops! I haven’t yet tried the popular ones by Isle of Paradise (which are more affordable), so I can’t compare, but I will say that these really work! I get comments every time I use it that I look more tan. I mix it with my moisturizer at night and the next morning wake up with a noticeable tan.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – This is undoubtedly one of my most used products, ever. I use this every day and night, and even multiple times throughout the day. It makes my lips feel super hydrated and supple, and I love to wear it on its own.
LUNA 3 for Sensitive Skin – FOREO – I don’t own this product, but I did just buy it during this sale (see below for the exact one I purchased). I have heard so many great things about it and I think it’s the next product that will really take my skincare routine to the next level.
No. 7 Bonding Oil – Olaplex – Another product that I don’t own but have heard and read raving reviews about! I think less is more when it comes to most things, so I don’t apply many products to my hair but I am very intrigued about this one.
Makeup
Anastasia DIPBROW Pomade – One of my holy grail makeup products. If I was stuck on an island and could only choose one makeup product to have with me, it would be this one (with the brush too of course).
Anastasia Contour Stick – I love any product that is a stick application, and this one makes it so easy to contour with! Very easy to blend out and gets the job done.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer – Favorite bronzer in a long time! I had been using the Hoola bronzer for years and couldn’t find anything to replace it until I discovered this beauty. Hourglass has also quickly become one of my new favorite makeup brands.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb – Best lip gloss. Period. It looks so pretty on its own as well as on top of lipstick.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder – This stuff really works to set my makeup and prevent it from sliding off or getting oily. Highly recommend!
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Liner & Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick – My current favorite lip combination! These two are so pretty together and create the perfect nude lip that I think works for every skin tone.
Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette – This is the only eyeshadow palette I’ve used in a long time. Love the shimmers and metallic shades in it as well as the matte colors. Great for everyday, natural looks and glam, smokey eyes too. You really can’t go wrong with the range of nude colors, which are all super blendable and smooth.
Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick – Hourglass – Another great Hourglass product, and I love the stick application! Goes on beautifully and very easy to blend out.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – This matte foundation is so popular and for good reason. It stays on all day and provides great coverage. It’s buildable and comes in a range of colors.
What I Ordered
I splurged a little bit this year, but it’s only because this sale only happens twice a year, so it’s a good time to take advantage! Some products I already had in the past and purchased again, like the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (which is a splurge but SO worth it!) and the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I had eyelash extensions on for the better part of two years, and I never used mascara on them. Now that I can’t get my extensions put back on due to the current situation we’re in with everything being closed, I need to start using mascara again. I’m actually kind of glad that I can’t get them put back on because I think I’m going to give my lashes a break for a while. I also purchased a Super-Enhancing Mascara Base by Lancome which serves as a primer to maximize mascara results. It’s supposed to make your lashes look longer and more volumized, and it has Vitamin E in it too which will help to condition the lashes. Another product that I wasn’t using much when I had my eyelash extensions was eyeliner. Lately I’ve been obsessed with creating a winged eyeliner to elongate the eyes, so I also purchased the Too Faced Better Than Sex Easy Glide Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.
Two more makeup products that I’m excited to try are the Nars Liquid Blush and the Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer. I have been leaning towards using more cream and liquid makeup products, especially in the warmer months. That’s why I’m so excited to try the liquid blush by Nars, and since a little is supposed to go a long way, it’s likely going to be a product that will last me a long time. As for the concealer, this was kind of a last minute decision. I’ve been all about the Tarte Shape Tape concealer, but I was in the mood to try something different, especially while I can get it on sale. I’ve heard great thing about the Hourglass concealer and how seamless and hydrating the application is, so I’m excited to try it!
Now onto the skincare products; I stocked up on my favorite Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, but this time picked up the vanilla scented one. I also purchased a new Hyaluronic Acid Serum by The Ordinary since it was so affordable and had great reviews. And lastly, the biggest purchase I made was on the Luna 3 for Normal Skin by Foreo. If you’ve been following me on Instagram for a while, then you know that I have been on a skincare journey since the beginning of this year. I’m constantly looking to enhance my skincare routines and discover good products. I’ve read great things about the Luna and how it’s supposed to provide a deeper clean and leave skin feeling smoother. I’ve used a Clarisonic in the past, and what I like about this product is that you never have to change a brush head. So even though it’s an investment, you never have to spend more money on it to switch out a brush head, which also makes it more sanitary.
That’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post. Remember, you don’t need any of these products, and you shouldn’t feel pressure to buy anything. It’s just good to think ahead and buy things on sale now that you know you’ll want later!
