There are so many great things about this time of year. It’s spring season which means warmer weather is on the way. The days start to feel longer, the flowers start to bloom, and everything feels a little better. For many it means the end of one chapter in their lives and the start of a new one as graduation is right around the corner and it’s also the start of wedding season. Many people do some spring cleaning (I can’t wait to fully do mine and get rid of ALL of my winter clothes that are taking up so much closet space!) and re-organizing which always feels good and refreshing.
Most importantly, however, it’s the season of Lent. This special time of year is dedicated to remembering all that Jesus endured during his 40 days in the desert, His Crucifixion, and what he sacrificed for us. During the Lent season we make our own sacrifices and prepare our hearts and spirits for Easter, the greatest of all Christian feasts. Lent is a new beginning, a chance to get closer to Christ and ask for His forgiveness of our sins. As I have started to take my faith to a new level recently I’ve come to see how meaningful and important this Lenten season really is. It also means I’ll get to spend time with my family, which is the best part of it all. I can’t wait for this weekend to be with everyone and to eat all the chocolate bunnies (I gave up chocolate for Lent and it has not been easy haha!).
The outfit in today’s post would be perfect to wear on Easter Sunday. I would usually wear a dress but if the weather doesn’t start to warm up here in New York then these gorgeous wide leg pants will be the next best option! I gravitate towards white and blush pink during the spring and summer, and this outfit combines both of those colors beautifully!
