JUMPSUIT: Hello Molly | HAT: Brixton | SUNNIES: Amazon (amazing dupes for the Karen Walker sunglasses!) | BAG: TopShop (sold out but similar ones here & here) | SANDALS: Steve Madden
Jumpsuits have been all the rage this summer and this is by far my favorite one. It has a lot of cute details that are also very on trend including ruffles, frill, a tie around the waist, and blue stripes. What I love most about this jumpsuit is the fit; the wide leg bottoms are comfortable and provide breathing room for those hot summer days meanwhile the top is very fitted at the waist and a V neckline. I was also thrilled about the length because normally when I buy things online, especially from a boutique that doesn’t have short or petite sizes, I have to get things hemmed. This jumpsuit fit me perfectly, I don’t even have to wear heels with it and the bottoms still don’t hit the ground (woohoo! short people wins haha!). I was so excited to wear it while we were in the Dominican because I think it’s the perfect jumpsuit for a summer vacation. I also wore this hat, sandals, and bag on repeat (I literally wore them almost every day) – they’ve been my top summer staples!
Jonathan and I stayed at Casa De Campo when we took our trip to the Dominican Republic back in July. The resort is beautiful, the food is fantastic, and the people are so genuine! The resort is so massive that they actually give all guests golf carts to get around. We had to take the golf cart everywhere, so the first few days we would go to the beach during the day and for dinner we would head to the Marina, which was full of amazing restaurants. It was only during our last few days that we discovered an area of the resort called Altos de Chavón, which is a recreated 16th-century Mediterranean village. I immediately fell in love with the ambiance. The architecture was so beautiful and the views took my breath away. I have such an appreciation for experiencing things like this and traveling, it’s just not something I see every day. Every corner we turned had something more beautiful about it. I usually spend all my time on the beach when I go to the Caribbean, but I wish we would have discovered this area earlier because I would’ve spent more time there dining and exploring. They also have an amphitheater in Altos de Chavón where they hold concerts and other events. Unfortunately there weren’t any events during our stay but it was cool to see it regardless. Overall I loved our experience at Casa de Campo – I would definitely recommend looking there if you ever visit this beautiful country in the Caribbean!
